ITSM Integration EngineerTransform technology into opportunity as an ITSM Integration Engineer with GDIT. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical owner for a portfolio of enterprise IT service management and related platforms in a secure environment. You will configure, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and extend commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems to support operational requirements. This is not a traditional full-time software development role. The position requires coding and scripting ability, but day-to-day responsibilities center on platform administration, systems integration, workflow automation, platform configuration and extension, and technical troubleshooting across multiple tools. Custom development may be required based on project needs, including middleware, API integrations, utility development, and platform-specific scripting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical generalist who can solve cross-system integration problems, develop practical automation, and operate effectively as an independent engineer while coordinating with adjacent technical teams.How the ITSM Integration Engineer will make an impact:Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and extend enterprise platforms such as Jira Service Management, SailPoint, Dynatrace, Active Directory/LDAP, and related servicesDesign, implement, and sustain integrations between enterprise applications using APIs, webhooks, middleware, scripting, and vendor-supported connectorsBuild and maintain workflows, automations, plugins, and configuration-based extensions across COTS platformsDevelop custom scripts, utilities, lightweight applications, and middleware components as required to support integration, automation, and operational efficiencyTranslate customer and operational requirements into sustainable technical solutions using configuration, integration, and custom development as appropriateWork directly with stakeholders to define technical approaches and implement solutions in a secure enterprise environmentTroubleshoot issues across application, integration, authentication, plugin, and workflow layersIdentify and implement improvements to reliability, maintainability, supportability, and automationDocument configurations, integration logic, administrative procedures, and technical solutions to support long-term sustainmentOperate effectively in a single-seat engineering role with significant ownership and autonomyWhat you'll need to succeed:Security Clearance Level: Secret RequiredEducation: Bachelor's Degree RequiredExperience: 2+ years of related experience in systems administration, enterprise applications support, systems integration, platform engineering, or a similar technical roleTechnical Training, Certification(s): IAT Level II or higher certification (minimum Security+ CE) RequiredTechnical Skills:Experience configuring, maintaining, and integrating COTS platforms such as enterprise ticketing, monitoring, and identity management toolsExperience troubleshooting enterprise application environments, including authentication, plugins, workflows, APIs, and configuration issuesExperience integrating systems using APIs, webhooks, middleware, directory services, or scripting-based automationWorking knowledge of Active Directory/LDAP and enterprise identity-related integrationsAbility to write and modify scripts or code to support integrations, automation, and lightweight toolingAbility to work independently to diagnose ambiguous technical issues and deliver practical solutionsPreferred Technical Skills:Experience with Jira, Jira Service Management, SailPoint, Dynatrace, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Mattermost, Microsoft 365, or similar enterprise platformsExperience with one or more of the following: Python, Java, PowerShell, Go, BeanShell, or similar languages used for enterprise automation and integrationExperience developing lightweight middleware, connectors, API clients, administrative utilities, or other support toolingExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and supporting lightweight applications or middleware in containerized environmentsFamiliarity with automation tools such as Ansible or similar orchestration capabilitiesRequired Skills and Abilities:Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage a broad technical scope without a day-to-day developer team structureSound judgment in determining when to use configuration, scripting, or custom developmentAbility to balance operational requirements with maintainable long-term solutionsLocation: El Segundo, CA or Remote U.S. Citizenship Required GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:Full-flex work week to support work and personal priorities401(k) with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility support for career developmentProfessional growth opportunities, including paid education and certificationsAccess to cutting-edge technologyPaid vacation and holidaysThe likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
